It’s a pretty quiet Labor Day, but not entirely so. The Philly indie tunesmiths Whaler have a sure-to-be-fun all ages gig at South Philly spot The Pharmacy. The band released its latest single, Deep End, last month via Bandcamp, and it showed them shifting an initially lo-fi indie rock style in the direction of more dynamic modern rock acts like Bombay Bicycle Club and Two Door Cinema Club. Check the delightfully odd “Deep End” video below and get tickets and more information on tonight’s show with Hivehead, The Phosphenes and Machine Green at its Facebook event page.
