Balance and Composure continue their bad trip in the new video for “Afterparty”
Just days before the release of their hotly anticipated third album, Light We Made, Philly alt-rockers Balance and Composure have shared a new visual for “Afterparty,” which follows the previously released video for “Postcard.” The clip acts as a continuation of “Postcard,” which saw the band in an almost catatonic state as they tripped balls in a dark house. After coming down a bit, they’ve mobilized, taking their trip on a tour of the city.
For those of us who first heard “Afterparty” when the audio dropped a while back, it comes as no surprise that this video is a lot more active and visually arresting than the more subdued “Postcard.” While “Afterparty” may be more of a straight-ahead rock song, it still features some of the same experimentation with its ambient guitar flourishes and what sounds like a theremin floating in the back. Here’s to hoping that the drugs wear off in time for band’s sold-out album release show at Boot & Saddle this Friday.
