Camp Candle posts up outside World Cafe Live in funky new “One Day, My Friend” video
In their August interview with The Key, Camp Candle asserted that they were instinctive electro pop for the people. That shoe still fits today on “One Day, My Friend”, a track that just received a brand new video after making its debut a month ago.
Similar to previous videos for tracks like “Weapons” and “Mr. P”, the clip is comprised mostly of the band dancing and singing around Philadelphia with friends. Much of the video was shot right outside of World Cafe Live and on the paths snaking through Penn Park, and the band looks like they’re having a blast. With the current trend in videos often skewing towards appearing as stoic and aloof as possible, this is a welcome breath of fresh air from the tight jeans and pseudo-nihilism that the kids are so into these days.
“One Day, My Friend” comes just a few, short months after their excellent debut EP, ERE (which, by the way, you can download for free, so what are you waiting for?). Check out the video below, but make sure to look up from time to time in case they decide to drop something new while you’re watching.
