PREMIERE: The Superweaks get to the gig in the “I’ll See Myself Out” video
The Superweaks are back with a new video for another track off of Better Heavens, the band’s sophomore LP that’s set for release on November 4th via Lame-O Records. “I’ll See Myself Out” was directed by local photo/videographer Emily Dubin and follows a recently-shared clip for the album’s title track.
“I’ll See Myself Out” follows a suited Chris Baglivo as he tries to get to work on time. He runs into a few obstacles along the way, though, and ends up in the back of a red van that claims to be an ice cream truck / ambulance with a comforting Evan Bernard and an angry Mikey Tashjian. Baglivo finally makes it to his center city office building, only to be sent right back out, box of desk items in hand. A serendipitous Tinder match sends the crew to the PhilaMOCA stage, where they finally all feel at home together.
The Superweaks celebrate the release of Better Heavens at Kung Fu Necktie on October 30th with Sun Organ and Three Man Cannon, dedicating the show to their longtime bass player Corey Bernard who passed away suddenly earlier this year. Tickets and information can be found here; watch the premiere of “I’ll See Myself Out” below.
