Get your first taste of psych-rockers Carroll with “Talking to my Own Mirage”
When the indie-rockers of Minneapolis four-piece Carroll caught the ear of producer Jon Low of Miner Street Recordings, they knew they couldn’t ignore his call for them to come to Philadelphia.
Fast forward a few months and the quartet has relocated east, and is gearing up to release their first full-length LP as Philadelphians, As Far as Gardens Go, due to drop on November 11th. They gave us our first taste of the record with their recently released single “Talking to my Own Mirage.” This mid-tempo track is pretty reminiscent of the more recent work of the psych-rock powerhouses of Tame Impala in both subject matter and composition. The song is sang majorly in falsetto and boasts a very synth-rock feel due to looped arrangements and the persistent bass notes throughout the track.
The boys of Carroll play a show at the Barbary in Philadelphia on November 11th, click here for more information and tickets. Get your first taste of Carroll by listening to “Talking to my Own Mirage” below.
