Take a dreamy ride through the cartoon landscape of Pill Friends’ latest “Holy Like You”
New Hope-based quintet Pill Friends is the latest band to be featured on Vancouver’s File Under: Music’s 12-week One Song at a Time Series. The video for their new song, “Holy Like You” was released today via The A.V. Club.
The video paints a landscape that is alternately cloaked in pastel and/or shadowy hues. This serves as a fitting visual embodiment of the breezy lo-fi/indie vibes that are juxtaposed with lyrics like “I lost the will again” that are saturated in a sense of eternal apathy. The stems of the track are available for remix useage on File Under: Music’s website.
It doesn’t look like Pill Friends has any upcoming shows at the moment so keep an eye on the WXPN Concert Calendar just in case anything pops up in the near future (fingers crossed). For now, you can check out the aesthetically pleasing video for “Holy Like You” below or go to their Bandcamp to listen to their February 2016 full-length release, Child Sacrifice.
