Norwegian Arms searches for answers in new single “Find Truth”
Indie pop artist Norwegian Arms has just shared the first track from Girard Freeloader, his upcoming full length. It’s called “Find Truth”, and it sees the New York-via-Philadelphia producer/songwriter continuing to refine his left-of-center indie pop for a larger audience. You can stream it below.
A massive, detuned synth chord immediately makes way for bass-heavy drums and main man Keith Birthday / Brendan Mulvihill’s quivering tenor as the track begins. Additional synth embellishments are gradually introduced, but the mix remains spacious throughout as he searches for truth in a special someone. This track is as colorful and glittery as its vibrant cover art, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself humming the melody of the ear worm, “ooh-ooh-ooh” chorus long after it stops playing.
If you want catch Norwegian Arms live in his native Philadelphia, he’ll be headlining Johnny Brenda’s on December 15th with Jesse Hale Moore and Vexed. For tickets and more information, head over to XPN’s Concert Calendar.
