When it comes to Philly DIY, it’s not often that a weekend passes without a slew of record release shows, but it’s even less often that we get a triple release show. That’s going to change this December 17th, though, as Philly’s E. Grizzly, Carl Kavorkian, and Static Brothers have joined forces to do just that. They’ll be joined by special guests Moor Mother and Hirs for what is sure to be an evening of celebration and brutal, righteous noise.

Last October. E. Grizzly released Felipe Pupo, a self-proclaimed “synth calypso punk” record that memorializes a close friend of his. He’ll play with a full band, while Kavorkian will perform tracks from his new album Serpehant Elentine and Static Bros from theirs, Obsteric Trash. Rather than playing separately, Grizzly, Kavorkian, and the Bros. will utilize a round-robin format in a three-way mega set. If left-of-center hip-hop and metal is your thing, mark your calendars now, as this will be a variety show like you’ve never seen before.
