The West Philadelphia Orchestra in conjunction with two other Balkan brass bands are hosting the Shake Your Brass Festival on December 9th at Ruba Club in Philly in support of Philabundance.

Joining the lively 15-piece ensemble is Black Masala from D.C. and Cocek Brass Band from Boston. These three groups have more in common than the genre of music they play, they all support a good cause, ending hunger. That is exactly what Philabundance is dedicated to doing, and each ticket bought for this concert will provide up to ten meals for people in need. Locally made crafts from a handful of vendors will also be available at the Shake Your Brass Festival.

For $20 dollars you can have “a brass-shakin’, winter cold-defyin’ stompfest like no other!” If you’re still not convinced, check out a video of the West Philadelphia Orchestra performing below, and get tickets and more information on the show at the XPN Concert Calendar.
