Regina Spektor charms with World Cafe performance and interview
This September, singer/songwriter Regina Spektor shared her latest record, Remember Us To Life, which features lead single “Bleeding Heart.” Recently, she sat down with Talia Schlanger on World Cafe to discuss the record and perform some stripped-down versions of tracks like “Black and White” and “The Visit.”
Topics of discussion include the naming of the album, personal loss, motherhood’s effect on her songwriting, and more. If you’re having trouble sleeping at night, skip to 11:52 to hear the lullaby she sings to her son, but don’t come crying to me if you actually melt from how cute it is.
You can stream the entire appearance below, via NPR, and if that’s not enough, you can see Spektor play at The Fillmore this March. It’s her first headlining gig in Philly since 2012, so head over to XPN’s Concert Calendar and grab your tickets now.
