Listen to a minute and 49 seconds of a new Spoon song

Last week there was speculation about a new record from one of our most favorite rock bands, Spoon.

More info has become available today about the new record. While Billboard reported that Spoon is releasing the new album in March, on their new label, Matador, Entertainment Weekly talked briefly with Spoon front man Britt Daniel, about working with producer Dave Fridmann, who has worked extensively with the Flaming Lips.

About the album, Daniel said “I feel like we are on to something—we’re covering some new ground.” No formal word about the record has come from their label, despite the image of a painted skull appearing on the label’s website and Spoon’s Instagram

Billboard reports that on Sunday, December 11th, Spoon shared a clip of a new song called “I Ain’t the One” on an episode of the Showtime drama Shameless. Watch the video below with just under two minutes of the new song.
