Bethlehem’s Slingshot Dakota revealed plans for a UK tour with Petal early today, and it came with a little something special in the form of new single “Grudge”. Marking the band’s first new material since the release of 2016’s Break, the tune is a part of the new 7″ Broken, with the full release marked for this Friday.

The keyboard/percussion duo has always had an easily identifiable sound marked by singer Carly Commando’s saccharine vocals and fierce keys. “Grudge” doesn’t stray away from that ear-pleasing formula as Commando tip toes around and between drummer Tom Patterson’s lively beat to tell a classic tale of lover’s lament. It’s a wonderful ballad for the regrets in all of us and adds yet another classic tune to Dakota’s already flaming discography.

Listen to the track via DIY Mag, and pre-order the 7″ Broken from Topshelf/Specialist Subject here (and a portion of the pre-order sales will be going towards The Trevor Project, The NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and Planned Parenthood) and get those UK tour dates below.
