Watch Pissed Jeans get swole in new video for “The Bar Is Low”
Last week, we finally got to hear Why Love Now? in its entirety, but Pissed Jeans isn’t stopping there. The album officially dropped today, and to celebrate, they’ve shared a new video for lead single “The Bar Is Low”. It’s a glorious ode to feeling emasculated at the gym, so if that’s a sensitive subject for you, you might want to sit this one out. Otherwise, stream the clip below.
We all know the feeling–you’re at the local Planet Fitness, minding your own business, and some jacked meathead appears out of nowhere to blow up your spot. You just wanted to use the shoulder press incorrectly, hit the elliptical for seven minutes, then get some froyo and go home, but NO. Mr. Muscles had to come along and make you feel bad about yourself. That’s precisely what happens in the visual for “The Bar Is Low”, as the Jeans engage their mass-conscious counterparts in all-out gym warfare. Eventually, they come to terms with their insecurity and make friends with the enemy, but every war is not without its casualties. As the Wu-Tang Clan once famously said–“protect ya neck!”
If you want to catch Pissed Jeans live, you still have a chance to see them at Boot & Saddle on Friday, March 10th (their PhilaMOCA show is sold out). Grab tickets while still can over at XPN’s Concert Calendar.
