Jazz Cartier drops a club ready banger in Fleurever cut “Tempted”
There’s a lot of songs about love out there, and plenty of songwriters that can’t seem to write about much else. Sometimes they’re finding it, sometimes they’re losing it, and yes, sometimes they’re making it. The list goes on, but the new single from Toronto rapper Jazz Cartier is not one of those songs. It’s a song about unadulterated, sexy sex, and not much else. Stream “Tempted” below.
If you’re under the age of eighteen, please stop reading now. This song is for adults only, and I don’t want any calls from parents about their kids trying to find the “right spot.” Luckily, its cover art is a helpful barometer when deciding whether or not you’re mature enough to listen. If you look at it and just think, “Oh, cool! A snake,” you’re probably too young. If you look at it, and it makes you uncomfortable, but you’re not sure why, you’re still probably a little too young. While perhaps not quite as explicit as Danny Brown’s epic dissertation on cunnilingus, “I Will”, this track leaves very little to the imagination, and it does so over a satisfyingly bouncy, club-ready beat. I’m going to have this song stuck in my head at very innoportune times for the rest of the week.
If you want to catch Jazz Cartier live, he plays Coda this April 28th. For tickets and more information, head over to XPN’s Concert Calendar.
