World Cafe Live at the Queen announces farewell show with David Bromberg, Sin City Band, and more
In January it was announced that Wilmington music venue World Cafe Live at The Queen would be closing this spring, hosting a final run of shows leading up to a big farewell event on May 25th. Details for the free final concert are now available, which will happen on the beautifully-restored former hotel/movie theater’s last day in operation and highlight many of the beloved Wilmington-area musicians who helped support the venue during its six-year tenure.
On the bill are legendary singer-songwriter David Bromberg, Wilmington’s own 4w5 Blues Jam, The Sin City Band, indie rockers The Headies, Brandywine Valley jammers The Cameltones, longtime rock ‘n’ roller Nik Everett, and classic rock cover band Kategory 5. Queen mainstays Vinyl Shockley will also perform, along with a rare appearance of vintage Wilmington act Shytown, a visit from Philly songwriter Brian LaPann, 80s Deleware group Snap, Grateful Dead tribute Montana Wildaxe, piano rocker Joe Trainer, and more.
Tickets and information for the Queen’s upcoming shows, including Beach House, Bela Fleck, Drive-By Truckers and more, can be found here. Check out some of the Farewell Show performers below, and get more details for the free show here.
