Local R&B / hip-hop mastermind Mars Parker hits us with new tune “Flowers,” the first peak into his new Bryson Spiller mixtape.
Perfectly in tune with the spring weather just around the corner, Parker laces his auto-tuned voice between the flowing warmness of producer Petemann. “When I’m around you, baby, I can’t touch the sky / You make the temperature rise” swoons Parker over the regret of ignoring and ultimately losing love, throwing him onto the crowded bus of Drake-vibes and internal emotional prying. It’s another late-night reflection track for the inconsolable millennial, only truly appreciated with a cig in one hand and doubt in the other.
