Stream Silveeo’s Biggest Fish EP, spend a reminiscent evening at Ortlieb’s
In January, local musician Silveeo released his debut Biggest Fish EP – four tracks inspired by a man’s life on a lake that capture the peaceful joyfulness of a never-forgotten summer. Usually confined within the solitude of his home studio, on Wednesday, April 12th Silvio Navarro will bring his project in live-band form to Ortlieb’s for a night out with Chelsea Sue Allen and Josh Hines of Maitland.
The songs on Biggest Fish are beautiful, from the Stornoway-esque lead single “Nautical,” with its distant cascades of cymbals echoing white-capped wake splashing against a hull, to the poignant “Summer Yet Again” closer, featuring a reminiscent audio recording of the man who inspired the songs. It’s an ode to friendship and childhood and warmer days that brings a rush of memories regardless of where you spent your summers.
