Rock n’ roll outfit Meddlesome Meddlesome Meddlesome Bells put out their single “Folding / Smokestack Lightnin'” earlier this month, marking their first new material since 2015.

The 7+ minute track never breaks its spell, throwing Kerrin Pantelakis’ sultry, fuzzed-out vocals between bouncing psychedelic guitars and rift-heavy fills, even spending a solid chunk of the song just outright jamming (solidified by that duel guitar solo around four minutes). It’s a fun shakeup from the more modern sounds attacking Philly these days, showing that ol’ fashioned rock isn’t going anywhere.
