Mumblr provides thought-provoking reflection in tour recap video
“I feel like, first of all, no band that is not making enough money to find a place to stay every night, should not responsibly be able to go on tour for more than a couple of weeks.” This blunt statement from singer-guitarist Nick Morrison opens the new tour recap video from local punks, Mumblr, in which the band gives advice and wisdom-filled warnings to young musicians about to embark on tour life.
Set amidst echoey, atmospheric effects, the five minute video also touches upon lessons learned from this year’s divisive political climate, as clips of drive-by landscape shots showcase cities they played at around the country. With this, the band details how they were exposed to much different views than what they are typically surrounded by at home, and advocate for the importance of learning and understanding perspectives not in alignment with your own.
Catch Mumblr back home in Philly when they play The Barbary this Wednesday night along with Derider, Bronco, and Full Bush. Find more info at the Facebook event page and watch the 2016 Fall Tour Recap video below.
