Telepathic’s Rob Garcia steps out with the solo Product Placement LP

While the finishing touches are being put on the forthcoming Telepathic record, guitarist Rob Garcia has shared a self-titled solo effort as Product Placement. It’s the Philly musician’s first effort under the moniker, though we’ve gotten to know Garcia well over the years since the days of Bleeding Rainbow.

Product Placement has a cassette tape psychedelia about it, altering perceptions in low key ways via phone filters and some slapback delay. Tracks like “See Who You Are” and “Asleep Again” harken back to the days of black and white music showcases on TV, while the fun riffs in “Watching a Fire” take a walk towards more contemporary indie rock.
