Check out the sleek, suave new single from Work Drugs, “Magic in the Night”
Philly’s Work Drugs are gearing up to drop a new record on August 11th, and with Tuesday’s release of single “Magic in the Night” you can now listen to seven of the eleven tracks in advance of Flaunt The Imperfection‘s proper release.
Work Drugs made this record last fall in Puerto Rico, as the story goes, and the timing definitely shows up in the themes (if you recall, last fall there was a small thing about the election of the current president), but this new single seems to learn more towards the apolitical spectrum of Flaunt the Imperfection tracks.
“Magic in the Night” is a nice little boppy tune, driven by a sleek saxophone — one of the band’s hallmarks. Listen below, and pre-order Flaunt the Imperfection here. Work Drugs perform live at Philly Music Fest on September 22nd and 23rd at World Cafe Live; tickets and more information can be found here.
