Charles Bradley cancels upcoming tour dates following cancer diagnosis
Our thoughts and well-wishes go out to one of our favorite performers in recent years — funk / soul / rock and roll singer Charles Bradley, who revealed today that he is undergoing treatment for liver cancer.
The two-time XPNFest vet released his latest record, Changes, in spring of 2016 on Daptone Records; he performed in Camden this summer at the XPoNential River Stage, but as he told fans today in a Facebook post, performances began to leave him feeling run down as tour progressed.
“When I come back, I’ll come back strong, with God’s love,” Bradley wrote in a message to fans. Read his statement in his entirety below, along with his list of cancelled tour dates.
