Ahead of the September 15th release of their debut LP Hildago, Church Girls have dropped two leading singles that are already evidence that the Philly band has grown more into themselves. Today, we are pleased to debut a third.

The indie rock four-piece had already set the bar high for Hildago with “Better Off” and “Breaking Bones,” but “Glass” most definitely raises it. The third single finds Church Girls embracing their punk side musically and lyrically, drawing you in with a speedy beat and scorching electric guitar that grows bigger and better with every verse.

Frontwoman Mariel Beaumont tells XPN that “the opening line to this song is a nod to ‘Breaking Glass’ off David Bowie’s Low — one of my all-time favorites. It’s about feeling a bit out of place at a party, hoping you can break through the small talk into something deeper, but failing. We’ve had fun letting it evolve in our live show over the last few months by exaggerating the dynamics so the hits have a ton of impact.”

Check out “Glass” below, and pre-order Hildago here.
