Brisbane’s Cub Sport share a soft and soulful video for “Chasin” and U.S. tour dates
Following the release of their latest album, BATS, Australia’s Cub Sport have announced that 2018 will bring them back to the US — and their tour includes a stop here in Philly. The four-piece dream pop outfit will appear April 7 at The Foundry, and to hold us over until then, they’ve shared a new video for soft and soulful BATS track “Chasin’.”
The song places a contemplative twist on Cub Sport’s light and airy pop, diving into existential uncertainty with the repetition of “I don’t even know what I want out of life / what I’m chasin’.” It’s vulnerability is grounded in the video with relaxing and dreamlike florals and pastel-washed landscapes, as lead singer Tim Nelson finds comfort in his bandmate and fiancé Sam Netterfield.
