The War On Drugs hit new emotional depths in “Nothing To Find” video
On first listen, the most noticeable thing about The War On Drugs‘ “Nothing To Find” from recent album A Deeper Understanding is its sunny, classic rock-inspired sheen. With that lighthearted tone in mind, the song’s new music video, out now, may catch you off guard with its touching emotional depth.
The video takes us on a surprisingly gripping journey, making use of the six-plus minutes the track allows to relay a heartfelt story with a nice heavy dose of the space rockers’ signature quirk (see: the dude covered in plants). Led by IT star Sophia Lillis, it’s a road trip like no other, and it’s enthralling sense of suspense has us wishing we were right there along for the adventure.
Hometown heroes The War On Drugs were most recently seen in Philly when they played Connor Barwin’s Make The World Better Foundation benefit concert last month — read The Key’s recap of that show here. Watch the video for “Nothing To Find” below.
