Philadelphia Asian American Film & Filmmakers hosts Arts as Activism panel featuring Dust + Dignity curator Bruce Campbell
For the second year in a row, Philadelphia Asian American Film & Filmmakers hosts a conference in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania’s Asian American Studies Program and the Greater Philadelphia Asian Studies Consortium; this year’s focus will be using the Arts as a form of an activism in Philadelphia schools. Among the panelists is Dr. Bruce Campbell, who curated the excellent Dust + Dignity exhibition at The Painted Bride last year.
The conference will take place at ARCH Cafe on Locust Walk on UPenn’s campus. There will be two featured presentations and three sets of panelists to discuss Arts as Activism through all types of media. The event is free of charge but RSVP is recommended due to limited seating. More info can be found at the event’s Facebook page here.
