Thinking back on the artists we lost over the year 2017, one name looms large: Charles Bradley. The powerful vocalist and commanding funk/soul/rock and roll frontman lost his battle with cancer this autumn, not even two months after his thrilling performance at the XPoNential Music Festival.

From XPNFest, Bradley and the band traversed the country to Portland, Oregon, to play his final two shows at the Pickathon music festival…and today, video from night one has made its way into the world, care of NPR Music. Watch a remarkable performance of “Lovin’ You Baby” below.
