Since moving to LA, singer songwriter Kwesi Kankam has been rebranding, including a stage name switch to just Kwesi, and experimenting with other genres. The single “Smile 4 Me” is a slight departure, or rather an evolution of his established pop/folk sound, and features Kwesi dabbling in contemporary EDM, while staying true to his gentle, easy on the ears style. The song is about focusing on the positives and choosing to see the best in life. It’s definitely a mood booster and a subtle sing-into-a-hairbrush jam.

Kwesi returns to Philly tonight to perform at Dawson Street Pub. Tickets and information can be found here and here. Check out “Smile for Me” down below.
