Whoever established that most bands should have more than two members clearly never encountered the surprising power of a duo. For 11 years now, Two Piece Fest has been proving just how great a two-person act can be. The annual celebration of duos is a much-anticipated tradition of the local DIY scene each year, and this year’s lineup is finally here.

Two Piece Fest XI will bring 22 two-person acts together for the day-long gig; most are local. Some of the standouts include Honeytiger, Boon, ShrillMadam Data/Mental Jewelry, and Crammm (the new NYC project of ex Amanda X-er Tiff Yoon) — but those are just a few of the wondrous duos you’ll encounter should you choose to attend the storied event. For the full lineup, 2PFXI has put together a sampling of music from each of the acts in the convenient form of an easily-streamable playlist.

Though the last two years have brought the fest to the First Unitarian Church, this year’s Two Piece Fest returns to its original stomping grounds, The Rotunda in West Philly. And it’s coming up quickly — clear your calendars for Saturday, February 24. The tunes start at 2 p.m. and don’t stop until 11 p.m., so prepare yourself for a full day of duo celebration.
