Collingswood Porchfest brings Lewis and Clarke, Rosu Lup and more to East of Philly concert series
Most of the live music in our region happens in Philly and the city’s surrounding PA suburbs, but that doesn’t mean good old New Jersey should be completely overlooked. That’s the idea behind a new concert series coming to the South Jersey ‘burbs this summer. Called East of Philly, the series comes from the same folks behind Collingswood Porchfest in collaboration with Ropeadope Records, and is modeled after the popular SoFAR Sounds house shows.
East of Philly will bring local musicians to small, unconventional venues throughout Collingswood, Haddon Heights and Merchantville; the shows are set to be monthly from May through September. The first installment is happening this Sunday, May 6 at The Factory makerspace in Collingswood, with performances from Lewis & Clarke, Rosu Lup and Andrew Whitman and The Cousins. The following months’ lineups are still TBA.
Listen to Lewis & Clarke’s “The Silver Sea,” recorded with Strand of Oaks for Weathervane Music’s Shaking Through series, below. Read more about the East of Philly series here and find more information on the May 6 show here.
