The Blues Show’s Jonny Meister and Grammy winner Robert Gordon throw a Memphis Rent Party

Oh how I love Memphis. It’s the home of the blues, where rock and roll was born and it’s such a soulful place. On Tuesday, May 15th, WXPN’s long-running host of The Blues Show, Jonny Meister, will join Memphis music/history maven, Robert Gordon, at the Penn Book Center to chat about Gordon’s new novel, Memphis Rent Party: The Blues, Rock & Soul in Music’s Hometown

The 2011 Grammy winner will be taking us on a trip through the hidden gems of Memphis, showing us his discoveries of all the people and places that have fallen unnoticed, and telling lesser-known stories about artists like Furry Lewis and Junior Kimbrough.
