“Wool or Fleece” first appeared on AllegrA’s 2016 EP my legs are growing as a wistful, lyrically esoteric piece of lo-fi pop that displayed their penchant for crafting worlds within simplicity.

Since then, AllegrA’s songwriting has only developed further, culminating in last year’s self titled debut LP.

Now, the Philadelphia songwriter applies the heightened production sensibilities of that record to a revisited recording of “Wool or Fleece” that fleshes out the song in a fuller, richer, arrangement. It’s at once testament both to how much AllegrA’s style has evolved and also to how much of their artistry arrived fully formed in their early songs.
