Just two short months after the passing of Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison, local fans are invited to come together in his memory. On July 16 at Johnny Brenda’s, Virginia-based radio program Spin Cycle will host “Raise a Glass in Memory of Scott Hutchison,” a gathering to honor the Scottish singer-songwriter.

The event will allow friends and fans of the late musician to share stories and memories and listen to his songs, and author Francis Daulerio, a former collaborator of Hutchison’s, will lead a toast and give readings. Earlier this year, the pair released “Please Plant This Book,” a collection of Daulerio’s poetry and Hutchison’s art. Copies of the book will be available for purchase with all proceeds benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
