Explore what’s on tap at the Chill Moody Music Stage at Wawa Welcome America this 4th of July
One of Philly’s premiere 4th of July attractions, the Wawa Welcome America celebration has gotten an exciting upgrade this year with the addition of the Chill Moody Music Stage. Celebrated West Philly rapper Chill Moody is making strides by creating this new stage that will highlight some of Philly’s brightest and most talented musicians. You can catch the performances from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the Ben Franklin Parkway. Check out some of the music from the dope selection of performers down below.
R&B singer songwriter Blake Withers might be known for his work writing for other artists such as Beano French and Quincy, but this time he’ll be performing his own work. Listen to his latest single “U Know”.

With a timeless, soulful voice and fresh off an impressive performance at Firefly Music Festival, Zeek Burse will be in the house, performing music from his new project XXII. Check out one of the tracks from that project here.
Former Kimmel Center Jazz Resident Max Swan is also part part of the lineup. Check out his live cover of Frank Ocean’s “Super Rich Kids” down below.
Recent UArts grad, and nicethingsMUSIC recording artist Dasiaa is bringing her fun, down to earth vibe to the big stage.
West Philly’s Armani White brings a fresh, creative flow with energy for days.
Aime blends his steady, mid tone flows with interesting and smooth production.
Philly’s favorite uplifting hip hop group, Hardwork Movement brings the message and the musicianship.

Another nicethingsMUSIC artist, Luke O’Brien mixes hip hop, soul, and pop to create feel good summer jams.
Ill Fated Natives are Philly’s resident psychedelic blues jammers and a self proclaimed “earth music” power trio. With their blend of rock, blues, and grit they captivate any stage.
Boogieman Dela has a unique voice and sound, rooted in hip hop but sprinkled with soul.
Soulful alternative rock band Foxtrot and the Get Down blends traditional rock and roll elements with soulful vocals and R&B influence for their own unique sound.
Shawn Smith reinvented himself a while back by revamping his name and opting to forego the name Young Savage. Despite the name change, he still brings a young, energetic, and clever flow to his music.
Of course a highlight will be the collaboration between the man of the hour, Chill Moody, and singer-songwriter and author Donn T — the dynamic duo &More. The Key’s John Vettese put it best when he described their sound as “…a little bit Sade-style quiet storm, a little bit Massive Attack psychedelia, and some early aughties Philly neo-soul for good measure.”
Featherborn is Charlie Colin and Danny Beissel’s latest endeavor, with hook-laden riffs and melodic driven choruses, and though they have no music available online at the moment, we’re excited to hear what they bring to the stage.
Last but certainly not least, there will be a host of Philly DJs including Hank McCoy, DJ AYEboogie, DJ Royale, DJ Nefertiti, and DJ Hvnlee bringing smooth, dynamic, and dance friendly mixes to the stage with sets that are guaranteed to bring the summer vibes. Check out samples of their work below.
