Ali Wadsworth may be leaving Philadelphia for the sunny skies and warm weather of California, but she’s not going anywhere without first saying goodbye in the best way possible — with a gig at Johnny Brenda’s. A 15-year veteran of the Philly roots/folk scene, Wadsworth got her start in bands like Unlikely Cowboy and has done countless collaborations and covers, but became best known for her work as a solo artist after releasing her debut album in 2013.

The farewell show will feature performances from Wadsworth, new Good Old War side project Found Wild, and something billed as “The Ghosts of Bands Past” — possibly a reunion of some of Wadsworth’s former projects? However it shakes out, it’s sure to be a show equally as sentimental as it is celebratory.

Wadsworth wrote on the event’s Facebook page:

“I really really love this city. Even the stinky gross parts. It’s like no jawn on earth and I feel lucky to have been able to call this place home. I will always consider philly home. I have made some of the best friendships of my life here. And I will miss you all terribly.”
