Is Lil Uzi Vert hinting at an upcoming album with this leak of a new single titled “Dolly”?
If you live in Philly, you’ve probably seen Lil Uzi Vert once or twice walking casually around South Street. Hailing from North Philly, Uzi is probably one of the most unique, out-of-pocket MCs in the industry today. His rapid-fire delivery, infectiously catchy hooks, and let’s not forget his fire dance moves are what turns heads.
Just recently, someone under the account name BLIND LIFE leaked Uzi’s song “Dolly” on their SoundCloud. The song isn’t as aggressively hype as “444+222”, but it still gets your body boppin’ similar to his song “Money Longer” from his 2016 album Lil Uzi Vert Vs. The World. There isn’t a lot of information about the new song so questions like is this a hint to a possible upcoming album? It’s a hard maybe. All we have to go on this supposition is the song as well as an amazing picture of Lil Uzi and his friend Young Thug with a stack of money and a cup of rosé, taken in the mirror of what it seems to be a women’s clothing store.
So far, the 23-year old hasn’t said much about a new album to follow his 2017 album Luv Is Rage 2, but we all know something is coming. Uzi has been blowing up social media with the message “Eternal Atake” so many assume that this might be the name of a possible upcoming album. For now, listen to Lil Uzi Vert’s leaked track “Dolly”.
