Garden Gate winds through a strange wonderland on Flower Crowns

Garden Gate‘s new EP Flower Crowns is a strange experiment in baroque / psychedelic pop. The EP is composed entirely of spacey synths, churchy harpsichord and winding baselines–it sounds at times like a sequel to Mort Garson’s Plantasia. The band is the project of Tim Meskers from the aughties indiepop band Brown Recluse. Tim’s voice is dreamy, skipping through a personally constructed wonderland where none of it makes any sense, but it makes for a trippy, fantastic listen. Check out the full EP below.
