Ellen Siberian Tiger, Hemming and Camp Candle will play the House Key Philly music showcase at Underground Arts
Experimental Philly indie rock outfit Ellen Siberian Tiger teams up with emotive rocker Hemming and electropop duo Camp Candle at the end of this month for the House Key Showcase, a night of Philly music at Underground Arts.
The 21+ gig is co-curated by local promoter House Cat Presents and The Key, sponsored by Yards Brewing Company, and takes place on Friday, November 30th.
The project of singer-songwriter-guitarist Ellen Tiberio Schulz, Ellen Siberian Tiger dabbles in heart-wrenching folk as readily as cerebral rock; their most recent releases are 2016’s Red Blooded Woman EP, and last year’s single “When Men Explain Things To Me,” and a Shaking Through session with the band is expected to premiere this month. Hemming has been laying low and working on new music this year, though the songs that frontperson Candice Martello debuted at the Strand of Oaks Winter Classic last year were outstanding and gripping; we’re excited to have her back on the stage for this gig. Camp Candle collaborators Nu-Ra and Hetepsa continue kicking out the synth-driven jams that span the worlds of electronic rock, house music, and R&B, and just killed a Thursday night set at the Chrome City party.
Tickets for the House Key Showcase are on sale Friday, November 2nd at noon, more information can be found here. Below, get to know each of the artists on the gig; arrive early, stay late!
