Propulsive Philly power trio Control Top will make their much-anticipated full-length debut this year with the Covert Contracts LP, out April 5th on Get Better Records. With the album announcement earlier this week comes a fierce new single called “Chain Reaction,” where singer / bassist Ali Carter rails against power-hungry, relentlessly-motivated narcissists, and the damage left in their wake.

As Al Creedon’s guitar textures squeal and soar, and Alex Licktenhour’s drumbeats slam forth, Carter howls in catharsis:

Do anything to prove you’re right
Lose everything to win the fight
Light the wick, pull the trigger
What started small is getting bigger

Listen to “Chain Reaction” below, and grab a pre-order of Covert Contracts here. Control Top is on tour opening for Laura Jane Grace & The Devouring Mothers and Mercy Union, and will play Underground Arts on Friday, April 19. Get tickets and more information on the show here, and find their full tour dates in the flyer below.
