Chris Forsyth shares two tracks from new album All Time Present
Whether he’s performing with his Solar Motel Band or solo, guitar virtuoso Chris Forsyth has made a name for himself as a creator tunes that can be better described as sprawling landscapes than songs. He’ll return this April with a new solo album, called All Time Present, and has shared its first two tracks now.
The album starts off with what Forsyth does best — “Tomorrow Might As Well Be Today” is a sweeping yet straightforward instrumental track that sets the scene for the rest of the album. It’s immediately countered with the 9-minute long “Mystic Mountain,” a dark, moody journey of a song that sees Forsyth introducing vocals for added depth. Forsyth is joined by bassist Peter Kerlin, multi-instrumentalist Shawn Edward Hansen and drummer Ryan Jewell on All Time Present, which also features guest appearances from Rosali Middleman and Jeff Zeigler.
All Time Present will be released April 12. Chris Forsyth will celebrate with a release show at Jerry’s On Front on April 27 with Garcia Peoples. Find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.
