Theatrical Philly rock band Sixteen Jackies will rein in the blood-spitting of their more wild gigs this Sunday March 24th for a low-key evening set at center city’s Mission Taqueria for Lo-Fi Live, the new events series sponsored by Bay Area craft spirits makers Lo-Fi Aperitifs.

It’s been just about a year since the four-piece band released their Mascula EP on Born Losers Records; earlier this month, XPN’s Mike Vasilikos shouted them out on NPR Music’s #SlingshotScenes Philly spotlight, saying: “Lots of bands play it safe and aim to make an audience feel comfortable. Philly’s Sixteen Jackies intend to do the opposite. … They may make you squirm, they can definitely make you dance, but one thing is assured; Sixteen Jackies will leave you entertained.”
