Low Dose channels trauma into raging songs and is ready to “Start Over”
Low Dose‘s self-titled debut LP comes out in just one week, and ahead of the release the band has shared a fourth single from the album. “Start Over” encompasses the idea of moving on from a painful experience into a simple common phrase — but as the band makes clear through the fiery song’s intense highs and lows, starting over can be easier said than done.
Vocalist/guitarist Itarya Rosenberg says the new album is about “…going through a really f*cked up divorce, but I wanted to have the lyrics be very obvious and pop-sensible so people can apply them to things that they’ve gone through personally.” With each crashing jolt, Low Dose channels the negativity of personal hardship into cathartic, raging songs.
Listen to “Start Over” below. Low Dose is out March 29 via Knife Hits and Brutal Panda Records, and the band plays Johnny Brenda’s on April 4 with Psychic Teens and Potion 200.
