&More is having a big week. After performing on NPR’s Tiny Desk on Monday, they’re back with a new single, “Future Come Round.” The song made an appearance in the Tiny Desk performance but this newly released studio version is glossed up and smoothed out. Chill Moody and Donn T collaborate seamlessly on the track, switching between Donn T’s R&B vocals and Chill Moody’s rap while beats from producer Ben “Private School” Thomas float in the background. It is the chillest existential jam you’ve likely ever heard with haunting lines like “Live for today / Tomorrow’s not promised” and “Where will you be when the future come around?”
“Future Come Round” will be featured on &More’s upcoming album, Ethel Bobcat, via D-Tone Victorious/nicethingsMUSIC, which will be released on April 5. The debut work is set to be a musical mix of hip-hop and soul that examines themes of power, love, and social justice. If this single is any indication of the album as a whole, get ready to jam, feel, and see the world through a new perspective.
&More will perform in Philadelphia on June 1 at The Roots Picnic. Tickets and more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar; check out their single, “Future Come Round” below.
