It’s been a few years since we’ve heard from Downtown Club, but lately the Philly post-punk outfit has been sharing some singles on Bandcamp. Though there’s no official word from the band beyond teaser images on social media, they released a song called “End All” last October and three more new tracks in March, all of which appear to be from a forthcoming release called Foundations.
On Downtown Club’s first songs since 2015, April Harkanson brings the band’s signature dark and melodic sound back to life, from the echoey and atmospheric title track to the instrumental “Faction” to the upbeat and dynamic “You Then Me Then You.” Listen below, and stay tuned for more news from Downtown Club.
