Philly singer-songwriter Lois Volta has been dabbling in writing and recording her own music since her former band, Adam & Dave’s Bloodline, called it quits a few years back. As a solo artist, Volta has been sharing folk-influenced songs on Bandcamp, and recently released a pair of singles, “Feels So Good” and “I’m Alright.”
The first track’s soft and sparse instrumentals give Volta the room to let her resonant vocals shape the haunting tone, and the song’s discontent quickly turns to upbeat reassurance with the following track, ushering in a sense of calmness and acceptance as Volta sings “No one can fill your well but you.” Listen below.
