Dominy, the four piece indie rock that impressed with their Wet Leather EP, are back with a new music video for “Hey There Big Boy,” just a few months in front of their sophomore release, Drugstore Cowboys. Comprised of John Dominy on guitar, Alex Dominy on keys, Rob Swift on guitar, and Zak Iannitelli on drums, Dominy have been making waves with their special blend of indie and roots rock. Bluesy riffs and pounding drums define Dominy’s sound, as well as their distinct vocal lines.

“Hey There Big Boy” is a tune describing the group’s feelings of tough guys. The chorus line “you talk like you know, but you don’t, no you don’t” speaks directly to this type of person in hopes that they’ll one day realize their ignorant ways. The video features slow-mo footage of the quartet chasing down and tackling other down through a forest, each one trying to get a lone satchel. It is both hilarious and lighthearted as each member rolls around on the ground, cowboy hats and sunglasses in all. The tune features a cool, moving drum beat alongside a roaring guitar melody. As the song concludes, the satchel is finally retrieved.

Drugstore Cowboys is set to release on June 29th. You can catch Dominy at PhilaMOCA celebrating the album’s release on the 29th, with support from Ali Awan, Barney Cortez, and The Dawn Drapes; more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.
