Local lo-fi rock band Honey Radar is back with a single from their latest album, Ruby Puff of Dust, set to release at the end of June. The single, “Kite Balloons,” is another short and enjoyable fuzzed-out jam that fans have come to know from the band.
At just under two minutes, it’s very compact but still gives the listener a raucous helping of Guided By Voices-esque garage rock, care of distorted guitars and drums coupled with lead singer Jason Henn’s smooth vocals.
Listen to the single below. Honey Radar play Boot and Saddle on June 18th, joined by Lithics and Control Top. Tickets and more information on the show can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar. Ruby Puff of Dust will be released on June 28th via What’s Your Rapture?
