Mannequin Pussy is standing in the gates of their hell in the new “Cream” video
The countdown to the release of Mannequin Pussy‘s new album Patience continues, and with just a few days to go the band has shared a new single “Cream.” The video that accompanies the raging song is like a vintage horror film in miniature, starring frontwoman Marisa Dabice. “I was standing in the gates of my hell,” Dabice sings, as the colorful retro funhouse gets creepier and creepier.
“For the music video, we wanted to create a creepy, monochromatic and colorful world,” Dabice shared. “The director, Hanna Hamilton, tapped into the lyrics of the song and created a story around them. Being followed by and possessed by an entity that controls the people around it. It feels like a classic 70s horror movie that I wish existed in real life.”
Patience is out June 21 via Epitaph Records, and Mannequin Pussy plays the First Unitarian Church on September 19. Find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.
