Philly’s Mars Parker is patient and passionate on the upbeat R&B of “Save Your Ways”
Singer, songwriter, and studio head Mars Parker is back with a savory R&B tune, “Save Your Ways.” The track, produced by Esquire, features big synth chords, bouncy trap-style percussion, and Parker’s creative rap and singing style. The tune channels Parker’s love for exploring different styles and incorporating them into his own songwriting, in his own way.
“Save Your Ways” begins softly as the smooth synth and bass lines build up to the song’s chorus, where Parker sings in his self-defined sad-boy demeanor. His rap verses are fast and his choruses are patient and passionate. Fast background ad-libs fill out the track and compliment the many percussive elements that pop up throughout the track. Apart from being upbeat, the whole track is hypnotically spacey thanks to the mellow synth atmospheres.
Mars Parker has had a fun year thus far, recently making a strong performance at Wawa Welcome America. He will be performing next at MilkBoy on July 27th with fellow Philly musicians ALEANA, Moses Mosima, Annon XL, Jizza Raw, and Hashland. Check out the details on the XPN Concert Calendar.
