Philly’s Harmony Woods recently signed with independent label Skeletal Lightning, and just announced that they’ll release their second album, Make Yourself at Home on October 4. Songwriter/vocalist Sofia Verbilla and her band also shared the record’s lead single, “Ghosts,” a song we’ve heard before at live shows but was previously unrecorded.
“Ghosts” premiered this week via Phluff, where it’s described as a song that “empowers us to take on our own demons.” Over an upbeat pop melody, Verbilla sings, “One day you will die / and only ghosts will be your friend.”
Harmony Woods’ next Philly show is at Everybody Hits next Thursday, July 25, with Jetty Bones. Find more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.
